Los dos libros que había leído hasta el momento de fotografía eran básicamente sobre como manejar la cámara que me acababa de comprar. Era la forma ideal de empezar para mí, sobretodo por que me explicaban la relación entre tiempo de exposición, apertura y ISO sobre la familiaridad de mi cámara (una Canon 400D).
Sin embargo en este libro la cámara, aunque importante, se deja un poco de lado y te van explicando como dos fotógrafos distintos afrontan su trabajo u hobby día a día (sí, el subtítulo del mismo libro es un poco engañoso). Se centran en el proceso que hay detrás de cada una de las fotografías que sacan, y su intención que hay en cada una de ellas. Esto ayuda bastante a saber como enfrentarte más adelante a sacar un tipo concreto de foto. Ver como otra gente resuelve problemas similares a los que te puedas encontrar ayuda a saber como podrías hacer tú en una situación parecida.
A parte de hablar de como sacan las fotografías, también te comentan por que seleccionan cada tipo de material para cada una de esas tomas que quieren sacar. Te explican por que les gusta tal tipo de lente y para que la usan. Flashes y trípodes también entran en este selección.
El problema es que mientras lees el libro te entran grandes ganas de salir hacer fotografías y claro, uno siempre tiene un tiempo limitado.
