Si el otro día comentaba que Serenity se iba a estrenar en el Edinburgh Film Festival, hoy me entero que debido a la fuerte demanda de entradas los organizadores han decidido habilitar dos sesiones más de proyección de la película, según informan en The Sunday Herald:
THE Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) has arranged two extra screenings of Serenity, the feature-film directorial debut of Joss Whedon, creator of the cult TV series Buffy The Vampire Slayer and its spin-off Angel, following the extraordinary demand for its world premiere. The Oscar and Emmy- nominated Whedon wrote and directed Serenity, which is the big-screen incarnation of his TV series Firefly.
Por otro lado, durante la celebración de la Comic-Con, el director y creador de Serenity, Joss Whedon mostró nuevas escenas añadidas. En la noticia original se pueden leer unos pocos spoilers sobre la escena de introducción de la película. A parte de esos spoilers, Joss Whedon comenta que la historia era parte de lo que tenía planeado para una hipotética segunda temporada de la serie, temporada que nunca llegó a ver la luz. También trae algunos comentarios graciosos sobre los actores de la misma:
The transition from television to film apparently went well for the cast. Adam Baldwin liked the movie versus the show because it gave him more preparation time. Gina Torres (Zoe) said the catering was better on the Serenity set than it was on Firefly. Nathan Fillion (Mal) would have to be corrected every time he asked if ‘they were taping.’ Whedon would snap: «Filming! This is a movie. We film!»
