Este es el primer libro que leo sobre el cambio climático y realmente tenía algunos conceptos equivocados. Cuando todo el mundo habla del cambio climático uno siempre tiene la impresión de que es algo que la comunidad científica empezó a percibir hace unos pocos años. Realmente por lo que se puede leer en el libro al voz de alarma ya saltó en los años 70, sencillamente ahora es aún más alarmante que antes.
La autora narra muchos de los viajes que hizo donde se están empezando a notar los efectos del cambio. Entrevistas a diversos expertos del área alrededor del mundo, una pequeña narración de como se produce el calentamiento global y como se llegó a dicha conclusión y, por supuesto, las reacciones de la clase política de los Estados Unidos.
Casi más alarmante es que soluciones se expresan pocas, y esas pocas que hay parece que no hay mucha intención de emplearlas por parte de los dos principales países que pueden impulsar el cambio de filosofía en emanación de CO2 a la atmósfera, Estados Unidos y China.
