O eso debió pensar un tal Boris Volfson, que ha conseguido patentar en Estados Unidos: «Space vehicle propelled by the pressure of inflationary vacuum state«. El principio parece sacado de la serie Stargate:
A space vehicle propelled by the pressure of inflationary vacuum state is provided comprising a hollow superconductive shield, an inner shield, a power source, a support structure, upper and lower means for generating an electromagnetic field, and a flux modulation controller. A cooled hollow superconductive shield is energized by an electromagnetic field resulting in the quantized vortices of lattice ions projecting a gravitomagnetic field that forms a spacetime curvature anomaly outside the space vehicle. The spacetime curvature imbalance, the spacetime curvature being the same as gravity, provides for the space vehicle’s propulsion. The space vehicle, surrounded by the spacetime anomaly, may move at a speed approaching the light-speed characteristic for the modified locale.
La oficina de patentes de Estados Unidos ha decidido concederla por que el sistema de energía de la misma es un reactor nuclear, los cuales son reales hoy en día, aunque yo me pregunto si no sospecharían algo raro con: «…in the quantized vortices of lattice ions projecting a gravitomagnetic field that forms a spacetime curvature anomaly outside the space vehicle».
Esta claro que el Boris este es previsor… por si algún fabricante de coches se le da por crear una versión familiar de dicho vehículo y fabricarlo en serie, el quiere su porción del pastel, aunque me pregunto yo. ¿En el espacio sideral las patentes son obligatorias o tendríamos que negociar tratados con los hombrecitos verdes?, mira que si ellos lo patentaron primero en su planeta.
